What is Zeitron?

Zeitron is an all-in-one HR and time-tracking platform built for modern teams. It helps businesses manage employee time tracking, vacation requests, employee records, document management, and compliance reporting -- all from a single, secure platform.

Who is Zeitron for?

Zeitron is designed for small and mid-sized businesses looking for a simple yet powerful HR solution. Whether you have 5 employees or 500, Zeitron scales with your team. It is especially popular with growing companies that want to move beyond spreadsheets without the complexity of enterprise HR suites.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Zeitron offers a free 14-day trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of your trial, you can choose the plan that best fits your needs or continue with our free Starter plan for small teams.

What languages are supported?

Zeitron supports English and German. Additional languages are available on request.

How do I get started?

Getting started is easy. Simply sign up for a free trial on our website, invite your team members, and begin tracking time immediately. Our onboarding wizard will guide you through setting up your company profile, departments, and policies. Most teams are fully operational within 15 minutes.

Pricing & Billing

How does pricing work?

Zeitron offers tiered pricing based on the number of employees in your organisation. Plans range from Starter (up to 5 employees) to Enterprise (up to 100 employees), with a Custom plan available for larger organisations. All plans are billed per month and include all core features.

Can I change my plan at any time?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. When you upgrade, you will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as SEPA Direct Debit for European customers. For Enterprise and Custom plans, we also offer invoicing with NET-30 payment terms.

Is there a setup fee?

No. There are no setup fees, hidden charges, or long-term contracts. You only pay for the plan you choose. Enterprise customers may optionally purchase premium onboarding and custom integration services, which are quoted separately.

What about VAT?

Prices displayed on our website are exclusive of VAT. For customers within Switzerland, Swiss VAT will be applied at the current rate. EU businesses with a valid VAT ID can benefit from the reverse-charge mechanism. All invoices include full VAT details.

Features

Can I track time by project?

Yes. Zeitron supports project-based time tracking in addition to standard daily time entries. You can create projects, assign team members, set budgets, and generate reports that show exactly how time is being allocated across your organisation.

How does vacation approval work?

Employees submit vacation requests through the Zeitron app or web interface. Managers receive an instant notification and can approve or decline the request with one click. The system automatically checks for conflicts, calculates remaining leave balances, and updates the team calendar.

Can I import existing employee data?

Yes. Zeitron provides a CSV import tool that lets you bulk-import employee records, including names, departments, employment dates, and leave balances. Our support team is also happy to help with data migration from your existing system at no extra cost.

Is there an API?

Yes. Zeitron offers a RESTful API that allows you to integrate with your existing tools and workflows. The API covers all core functionality including time entries, employee records, and reporting. API access is available on Professional plans and above.

Can I export reports?

Absolutely. All reports in Zeitron can be exported to CSV and PDF formats. You can schedule automated reports to be delivered to your inbox on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Custom report templates are available on Business and Enterprise plans.

Security & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

All Zeitron data is hosted in ISO 27001-certified data centers located in the European Union. We use industry-leading cloud providers with redundant systems, ensuring high availability and data sovereignty compliance for European customers.

Is Zeitron GDPR compliant?

Yes. Zeitron is fully compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We provide data processing agreements (DPAs), support data subject access requests, and give you full control over data retention and deletion policies.

Do you support Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Yes. Zeitron supports SSO integration via Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). SAML 2.0 is available on Professional plans and above, allowing seamless and secure authentication for your entire team.

How do you handle data backups?

We perform automated backups daily, with point-in-time recovery available for the past 30 days. Backups are stored in a geographically separate European data center and are encrypted with AES-256. Our disaster recovery plan is tested quarterly.

How do I contact support?

You can reach our support team via email at hello@zeitron.io or through the in-app chat widget. Enterprise customers also have access to a dedicated account manager and priority phone support.

What is the typical response time?

We aim to respond to all support requests within 24 hours during business days. Enterprise and Business plan customers receive priority support with faster response times. Critical issues are escalated immediately to our engineering team.

Do you offer onboarding help?

Yes. All new customers receive access to our self-service onboarding wizard, video tutorials, and comprehensive documentation. Professional and higher plans include a live onboarding session with our customer success team. Custom onboarding packages are available for Enterprise customers.
